Settling after Ten Years Residence in the UK

If you have been legally resident in the UK for at least ten years continuously, you may be able to apply for ILR under this route.

You must have been resident in the UK without gaps for the whole period, and you must also have kept to the terms of your visa and immigration status at all times.

If you are aged between 18 and 65, you must also pass the Life in the UK test and prove you have sufficient English language skills.

There is a limit to how much time you can spend out of the UK during this qualifying period.
