This route is available to those wishing to study any course up to six months in length, or an English language course up to 11 months in length (Extended Student Visitor Visa). For longer courses, or if you intend to study further after you arrive, please see the Tier 4 Student Visa page. The main requirement is that you have been accepted into a school, college or university which is trusted by the Home Office to sponsor overseas students, on a course which meets Home Office requirements. You then need to show that you have the money to finance your trip, and also that you will leave the UK at the end of your visit. It is these requirements which commonly require the most advice and assistance from our advisers. Unlike Tier 4 visas, the requirements for maintenance are not precisely defined, but our experience and knowledge of Home Office requirements allows us to help you through the whole application process. Our service includes document preparation and application completion, but crucially, we can also advise you on the evidence needed to show that you are a genuine student. For advice on choosing and booking a course, or anything else related to studying in the UK, please visit our education department website, ECA UK.
