Companies in other countries who wish to promote their business and open a branch of their company in the UK are able to send one member of their staff to the UK as their sole representative.
The staff member must be able to show that they are employed outside the UK, in a senior position, and have extensive experience and knowledge of the type of business the company is involved in. The applicant must have a basic level of English language ability.
If successful, the applicant will be given a visa for three years, and is then able to extend for a further two years. At this point, it may be possible to settle permanently in the UK.
